Are you making a NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION to improve your health and flexibility? OR maybe you know someone who wants to focus on their health…
Here is the perfect Opportunity!
Starting Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at 7:00 pm, Lizabeth (Chudala) Darling, will be offering a special 5 class series: YOGA for the INFLEXIBLE!
This class is specifically oriented to those who don’t think they can do yoga because: a) they can barely bend over to touch their knees much less their toes; b) when they move their arms to pull a shirt on overhead, their arms have to come forward rather than overhead because back, shoulders, and neck muscles are too tight. This series takes more time with proper support and propping. The focus is in learning how to prop and getting as much support as needed for each individual to experience the release of muscular tension and even more importantly, the result of feeling more open and fluid.
Do you know people who feel they are not flexible enough to do yoga but want the benefit of feeling better and/or experiencing less pain? Are you maybe one of them? Flexibility is not a pre-requisite to this class. It is a result. We have several sayings in Svaroopa® Yoga: “Support equals Release” and another is “A Tight muscle is a Weak muscle”. What does that mean? Physical trainers and medical people all know that when muscles are tight, there is very little blood moving through. If your muscles are really tight, there is little movement left so it becomes more challenging to bend forward, to reach the knees, to stretch the arms straight up. You are constricted.
Come and experience the deeper opening of muscles and learn to release into support improving your flexibility, your movement, and your ability to truly relax.
