Kalavati Christine Hernandez, CSYT, RYT®-500*
Co-founder and Yoga Instructor

Christine is committed to yoga as a way of life. Prior to co-founding Aptos Yoga, she owned Freedom Yoga Center for Pain Relief in Watsonville. She is a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher and Therapist with over 700 hours of training from Master Yoga Academy under the guidance of founder Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati (Rama Berch). She has also earned a Living Yoga Business Certification.

While working in the Internet Security Marketing business for many years, she tried various styles of yoga and exercise to stay healthy and productive, but there was always something missing. While taking a break from professional work to raise a family in 2005, Christine finally found what she was looking for in Svaroopa® yoga. She is blessed to be able to use her personal experiences, training and wisdom to guide others in unlocking their inner-healing potential. She brings a calming presence and individualized attention to the needs of each student.
